Carbon Friendly Certified
What this means
Frank Productions is proud to be certified Carbon Friendly with Ekos. We have offset 100% of our estimated business operation emissions from electricity, waste, accommodation, flights and freight for the period from 1 February 2021 to 31 January 2022, an estimated 9.344 tonnes of CO2, with certified carbon credits.
These offsets grow and protect forests in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and help to deliver climate resilience, waterways protection, erosion control, biodiversity conservation and community economic development.
By understanding the emissions profile our business operations, we can start to strategically reduce them.
Our initiatives
Frank is committed to achieving positive environmental outcomes through the reduction of waste and emissions. One of the fundamental advantages of Frank is the way we’ve structured our business to be agile. We intentionally run an agile, efficient crews to help manage our environmental impact through a small carbon footprint.
Some of our other initiatives include:
Participating in a carbon offset programme
E-meetings to reduce on unnecessary travel/vehicle use
Encourage our team to use public transport, cycle or e-scooter where possible
Run a one vehicle/one job policy which eliminates the unnecessary use of multiple vehicles
We aim to change travel behaviour and increasing booking of low/zero emission rental vehicles
Have a zero single-use-item policy in the workplace as well as a reduce plastics programme
A general reuse and recycle attitude across all areas of the business
Use reusable bottles and cups, and encourage staff to pack zero waste lunch
Primarily paperless, using e-notes and digital docs (approx 90%)
